Dhaulagiri Base Camp is one of the most challenging trekking trails in the world. It lies in the northwest of the Asian country Nepal. This base camp lies between China and Nepal broader. The total duration of this trek is 20 days. so it requires perfect fitness for walking in the snow for more than three weeks with heavy bags. The trails lie in the western Himalayan part of the country Nepal and souther of country China. While traveling to Dhaulagiri Base Camp it rounds the Dhaulagiri Himalayans Range. Trekkers can see an amazing panorama of snowy, Oak forests, rhododendrons, and many more Himalayan summits. From the base camp of Dhaulagiri, you can see the beautiful peaks. This trekking route follows the Himalayan border with Tibet and Nepal. This trek is more challenging than others because Dhaulagiri lies at the world’s seventh-highest peak. It has 8167 Meters, and 26795 ft in height.

It is 5000Meter, where the air is thinner and you may suffer from altitude sickness. If you like adventure then Dhaulagiri Base Camp is the best trekking sport. It demands the best physical fitness and intense willpower.

2. Cost Dhaulagiri Base Camp Trek

The cost of trekking to Dhaulagiri Base Camp depends upon you. Because if you travel solo then it depends upon you. Its means how much money you use there while traveling. And if you go through the trekking agency, they are charged according to their policy. 

According to the trekking agency, the price range for the best-supported climb rang. It covers all the transportation charges from Kathmandu to Beni, base camp tents, lodging, accommodation, trekking guide, and other facilities as per the need. So this payment range is normal according to the trekking route.

3. Permits for Dhaulagiri Base Camp: 

Due to strict rules, a new permits system has been made and implemented in this Region. According to the trekking information the old trekking permits have been replaced by the new local entry permits there. To get a full permit, you have to fulfill many requirements which are followed below

  1. TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System)
  2. ACAP(Annapurna Conservation Area)

4. According to TIMS & ACAP 

ACAP means the Annapurna Conservation Area which includes a major portion of the trek.  ACAP permits are required for you to get entry to the Annapurna Conservation Area. 

And TIMS stands for the Trekkers Information Management System. TIMS  permit is necessary to trek on major trekking trails within Nepal, including Annapurna Circuit.

If you are planning to trek to  Dhaulagiri Base Camp, you must obtain Annapurna Circuit Trekking Permits that consist of TIMS & ACAP permits. These permits cost in total 5000 NRS, which is less than $50 per person. It seems quite more. But according to the trekking days and the ways it is minimum and cheap rate. 

However, a TIMS permit is not necessary for Nepalese people but ACAP is mandatory for all.

6. About Dhaulagiri Mounatain 

Dhaulagiri is the world’s Seventh-highest mountain. It is also listed among the 14 peaks of the world which have more than 8000 meters in height. It is located in the Asia country Nepal. The current height of Dhaulagiri Mountain is 8167 Meters, 26795 ft above sea level. It is the sovereign of the country Nepal. It is situated on the Himalayan border with Tibet and Nepal. This mountain is extended 120km (70mi) from the Kaligandagi River west to the Bheri. It is also the highest peak within the borders of a single country Nepal. 

Dhaulagiri was first climbed on 13 May 1960 by a Swiss/Austrian/Nepali journey.
